Chemical Peels are a chemical solution applied to the skin to exfoliate and remove the top layers of the skin (know as the Dermis) that are dry, damaged or problematic due to acne bacteria. This exfoliation improves the overall texture and evenness of skin, and is also helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation.
The Chemical Peel Solution is applied topically in “layers” to the skin in effort to achieve a smooth and even complexion. The layers of peel are applied in correspondence to what is trying to be achieved with the skin. For instance, if the skin is relatively healthy but just needs to be “refreshed and revitalized”, than a light peel of 1-3 layers is applied. For more problematic skin to include acne or sun damage, more layers are then applied for a deeper peel.
Because of this, all chemical peels are customized by our medical staff to achieve individual skincare goals.
Average treatment time: 45 mins.
We carry a variety of Chemical Peels to achieve any skincare need.
