BriteSmile Appoints New CFO

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., May 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- BriteSmile, Inc. (Nasdaq: BSML), the leading international provider of state-of-the-art teeth- whitening systems, today announced that it has appointed Kenneth A. Czaja as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), replacing John Dong, effective May 24, 2004.

Mr. Czaja has over 20 years of financial management experience, the last 10 of which have been as CFO. Most recently, Mr. Czaja served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Optoelectronics Group of PerkinElmer Inc. (NYSE: PKI), a $350M autonomous business unit which develops and sells specialty lighting and sensor products for both the biomedical and industrial markets.
